Dear High School Parent,

Thank you for your inquiry about admission to Saint Ann's for the 2009­-2010 academic year. The enclosed literature outlines our philosophy, methods, and programs. Should you decide to apply for admission, the following is an outline of the application process.

APPLICANTS FOR GRADE 9

Places in the ninth grade are available according to attrition from our current eighth grade class. Using the past few years as a guide, we expect to be able to offer around five places to new students for the fall of 2009.

  • The application deadline is December 1, 2008. There is a non-refundable fee of $150.00 for new applications. If the student has previously applied to Saint Ann's, there is no fee.

  • After receiving your completed application, we will call to schedule an interview and a short meeting with the Head of the High School or Dean of the Ninth Grade. The earlier we receive the application, the more flexibility we will have in scheduling the necessary appointments.

  • Every ninth grade applicant must attend a scheduled tour. To sign up for a tour, applicants must call the admission office directly (x313); calling earlier will mean greater flexibility in terms of scheduling. Tours last about two hours and will begin in late September continuing through January. It is not necessary to have submitted an application before visiting the school.

  • We require a math and a reading comprehension test that is normed against other independent schools such as the ERB/CTP or ISEE.

  • Please send the "Records Release Form" to the applicant's present school (do not send the "Records Release Form" back to Saint Ann's) as early in the process as possible.

APPLICANTS FOR GRADE 10

We do not anticipate any openings in our 10th grade. However, if you would like to submit the application without a fee, we will hold it as a means of contacting you should space arise. We will not schedule interviews for these applicants.
