Dear Lower School Parent,

Thank you for inquiring about admission to Saint Ann's for the 2009-2010 academic year. The enclosed literature outlines our philosophy, methods, and programs.

Admission to the second and third grades is possible only if there is attrition. At this point we do not anticipate having any openings in these grades for 2009-2010. However, if you would like to submit an application and some basic information about your child, we will process the materials and contact you should space arise.

• The application deadline is December 1, 2008. There is a non-refundable processing fee of $75.00 for new applications; if your child has previously applied to Saint Ann's there is no fee to reactivate the application.

• Give the enclosed "Teacher Evaluation Form" to your child's current teacher. The teacher does not have to return it to us until he or she has had sufficient time to get to know your child; however, we must receive it by January 16, 2009. If your child has attended more than one school, we will gladly accept evaluation forms from other schools as well. We will also happily accept the ISAAGNY evaluation form in lieu of our own.

• Give the enclosed “Records Release Form” to your child's current school so that they can send your child's transcript.

• If possible, please include a small, recent photograph of your child with your application.

• Tours of the Saint Ann's Lower School last about two hours and will begin in early October and continue through January. You may schedule a tour at any point during the process by calling the admission office directly (extension 313); calling earlier will mean greater flexibility in terms of scheduling, as these tours tend to fill up quickly. It is not necessary to have submitted an application before visiting the school.
