Performed by the 4th, 5th & 6th grades on:
Evening: Friday, January 26 - 7pm, Monday, January 29 - 7pm
Matinee: Saturday, January 27- 2pm, Sunday, January 28 - 2pm
NB: all 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th graders will see a matinee.

Please begin making reservations for Vasilisa The Fair on or after
January 12. The procedure for making reservations is the same as it has been. From outside and within the building, please dial ext. 708. Please leave a brief message stating your name, your child’s name (if applicable), your phone numbers (work and home), the date you wish to attend the performance, and the number of tickets you want to reserve for each date. Your reservations will be taken in the order in which they are received. You will be contacted only in the event that there is a question or problem with your reservation request. Please be certain to phone us at any point with changes or cancellations. Reserved tickets will be available one hour prior to showtime in the Ettl Lobby. When there is a conflicting event in the Lobby, the Undercroft will be used.

The Edward E. Ford Foundation Grant

As of January 8, 2007, parents, alumni, alumni parents and other constituents have donated a total of $90,801 toward the $100,000 goal to meet the $50,000 challenge grant from the Edward E. Ford Foundation for faculty support through the Educational Assistance Program. Only $9,199 remains to be raised before May 31, 2007.
Educational Assistance Program and Professional Development grants provide opportunities to broaden knowledge, experience and skills in a teacher’s related field of study as well as to continue education toward graduate degrees. Grants in recent years have included: seminars on biblical archaeology at Oxford University, Moby Dick at The New School; “Earthquakes and Sunamis” and “Hawaiian Volcanoes” at the Chautauqua Institute; Math Education at the Princeton Institute of Advanced Studies; study of Greek language (Athens) and Spanish language (Spain); coaching boys baseball in the Dominican Republic; organizing and hosting a marine biology conference; consultation about Advanced Placement Examinations in Chemistry and Chinese Language.

Up on the Roof: The Playground is open!

Thanks to the many donors who helped to fund the new rooftop playground at The Farber Building.

As of January 8, 2007, Saint Ann’s has raised $228,153. The playground challenge grant is still open on the matching basis of $1 for every $2 donated, up to $300,000.
