Diane Gnagnarelli, Coordinator of Community Services, is always open to ideas for new opportunities for the students. Announcements are made in assembly for one-time and on-going volunteer opportunities. Last year we had a froup of our African Dance students perform for the Infinite Family organization's benefit dinner and we ran a number of drives for food, for clothing, and for books for several different organizations.

We currently have a large group of our high school students volunteering to help in classes at Public School 8

Our volunteers at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office are continuing their work with the Domestic Violence Bureau and learning about the legal profession as well.

We have a number of dedicated volunteers tutoring public high school students with the Legal Outreach program.

The Community Service seminar class will be meeting with the Head of the Helen Keller School to discuss what projects we will help them with this year.

The Community Service seminar will also be cooking for the BHS Shelter again this year.

The students in the seminar (and others are welcome too) will be heading up to Spence Chapin Services for families and children to help with the wrapping of gifts for families that they serve.

During the month of March we will once again be collecting books for the Project Cicero drive to enrich NYC public school classrooms and libraries.

These are just some of the highlights of the Community Services activities at Saint Ann's School.
