I try to put the puzzle of life back together. One piece just won’t fit.
Shapes drop onto the water Which thwarts their design And clusters around its base, (The impediment to color, to light~ A chaperone to hold its hand, Dipping into that well of blackness,) And ships steal discreetly through, Their bodies inserted into that gloss, That sink of darkness, leaving behind A train of interruptions, of ripples, Mixed together in a frenzy, in a cascade Of motion.
