Poem of the Day: 23 Apr 2005

Night

At night stars are shining
in the sky like natural floating light-bulbs.
The sun is resting on its perch
while the moon takes its place.
The moon is waiting watches wondering
what’s to be done.

Charlotte C. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#90)

The Dog

Once there was a dog that was cooler than a cat
that wore a hat
called a sombrero
and he lived like a frog;
that is the story of the cool-cat dog.

Anna F. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#91)

Right Now

Right now a baby cried,
A woman died.
Right now a bluebird was born,
A car honked his horn.
Last second, someone shared this poem.

Alison H. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#92)
