Poem of the Day: 24 Apr 2005

A soft brass key turns the body’s

A soft brass key turns the body’s
wisdom
and unleashes the
spirit of
wisdom.

Julian S. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#94)

Good Riddance

Good-bye to all those
Winter days
Good-bye to all the
Sorrow
I hope it’s gone for good and it’s not coming back
Tomorrow
I hope it’s not too
Hot
And that I don’t get burned
And I won’t have to do anything because I already
Learned
And that I won’t lean
On hot wood so I don’t get a splinter
            Maybe
I’m going crazy because it seems
That I’m going to miss winter.

Ella G. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#95)

She walked

She walked
Until she stopped.
She stopped because
She saw a rainbow.

She stared
Until she walked.
She walked because
She needed to get home.

Emma J. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#96)
