Poem of the Day: 28 Apr 2005

Confused faces

Confused faces
of shock
and startle
try to gather themselves to
do the task at hand to
imagine and find
an answer
a response.
Bewildered by the system
they scratch their heads
and write.

Nico G. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#110)

Meaningless Poem

This is a meaningless poem
It was written by an excited naïve little kid
Who thinks he knows something
He is a parrot
He says the things adult figures of his life say
Like all kids his age
He is very proud of his opinions
So he tries to write this poem
A meaningless poem

Ashton K. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#111)

Earth

Earth is the most peaceful
and beautiful creature. Without earth
Fire couldn’t put his rage on objects.
Water would not have a place to roam.
Wind would blow away nothing.

Forbes W. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#112)
