Poem of the Day: 2 Jul 2005

In Egypt

In Egypt
the sphinx rises proudly from the sand
among the endless rolling sand dunes
In Egypt
the Nile River flows swiftly, twisting like a snake
at the tail lies Lake Nasser
In Egypt
the pyramid stands tall and majestic, reveling in its beauty
valley of kings growing rough and green cradling dead pharaohs.

Shanice S. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#369)
