Poem of the Day: 18 Jun 2005

A growl in the dark can become anything

A growl in the dark can become anything
It can become a monster coming out of the bed
While you’re asleep.
It can become a puppy in an alley.
It can become a friend trying to scare you.
A growl in the dark can become anything.

A child leaps for

A child leaps for
happiness but he is met
by a gun’s bullet.

Boy Meets Mind

The boy closed his eyes and fell on the bed
as it slowly absorbed his body and a single drop of water.
He couldn’t sleep
He got up and picked up a book and started reading
After a minute or two he threw the book
At his bag sitting on his desk.
The bag fell off his desk as his head fell onto his pillow.
He budged his head under the pillow
As he pictured trees, a lot of trees,
Burning trees... he slept.
