Poem of the Day: 19 Jun 2005

Cobweb

A cobweb of ideas
each string represents
a person.

A cobweb of despair
each string represents
a person dead

The cobweb of a spider
made with care
oh so fragile.

A cobweb

A train rushed by

A train rushed by
It was a windy day and
as the wind brushed the couple of hairs
across my face back,
It began to bring memories
back into my head.
It began to rain softly,
and then harder
and harder.
The rain rushes down my cheeks.
My history comes back,
and,
time goes back,
on the clock,
and in my mind.
Then, the memories leave,
the rain stops,
and,
it is all over,
again.

Sequel

Earth, fire, wind, water
All the time, people slaughtered
All the sudden my father’s a father
And my mother’s a mother
In tears I’m smothered
All the sudden I see another...
... ... ...brother
That’s two births and then two deaths
For me it’s just another myth
Of the awful race
Of the human face
