Poem of the Day: 20 Jun 2005

the sky

the sky
with a zoo of clouds
with a carpet of blue water
with a bunch of paper airplanes
the sky is a human being stared at by millions
it is dancing across the stage
all of the sights by the people are claps.

Dancing Dreams

Her long beaded skirt dances,
Slightly skimming the floor.
Her eyes glistened like the moon’s reflection on a pond.
Her eyes met his and they danced on the...
“Honey wake up! You’ll be late for school”
(another postponed dream)

Lucy M. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#323)

She grew up in a lonely quiet dark town

She grew up in a lonely quiet dark town
She went to five different schools
She was always the new girl
Never coming back to her old friends,
Always meeting new people.
Never seeing the same person,
The same face twice,
Always looking for trouble
And always finding it.
