Fun in the Rockies A family vacation, Racing around Like noon recreation The aquarium was Fun in the Rockies I played crusher Pounding shapes into pennies I whipped around To find them gone Fun in the Rockies Was totally done I asked the desk man If I could call my mom He said sure since Fun the Rockies was gone. I looked into his eyes as
He looked into mine
They were just as big
yet
They concealed something twice as imaginary
in the midst of the blue and the gray
only to come out
on a later day.
I see a boat off in the distance
I see a boat off in the distance The water is shimmering I sit in the warmth of my grandmother’s lap The smell in the air is oceany I hear the voice of my grandma And the voice of the sea,
