Poem of the Day: 2 May 2005

I walk through the cold streets of Brooklyn

I walk through the cold streets of Brooklyn
On a misty day
A car flies by me
The exhaust
Mixing with the
Fog.
I inhale the gaseous
Mixture. The mist has already
Saturated my
Heart.

Chocolate

Chocolate
Has                   an
Optimistic feeling. It
Can change your mood
Or feeling so you feel
Light as a feather
And spin and
Turn and
Eat.

The Noisy, Busy Street

Bang, crash, beep, honk!
Bang, crash, beep, honk!
The noisy cars go by,
The jack-hammers bang,
The people are yelling,
Buildings are being made.
Bang, crash, beep, honk!
Bang, crash, beep, honk!

Sophia M. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#128)
