I slump off to my room.

I slump off to my room.
Everything feels blurred.
I seem to walk right through my door.
I unconsciously fall onto my bed
And stare at the ceiling,
All alone,
Nothing else but me.

Casey M. (Middle School, 2004-5) (p#171)

Bewildered children asking

Bewildered children asking
questions, slouching,
sighing, scribbling and erasing.
Slowly, he paces
the room, a
kindly overseer of our
work. One girl pauses,
searching
for inspiration. My bracelets
jingle as I catch her
motion and look.
