The Middle School Reading Series
Here at Saint Ann's we have an incredible community of readers and writers in the middle school. In an effort to encourage them, the English Department and the Library have joined forces. We proudly present The Middle School Reading Series.

We have many fabulous authors coming to speak to each grade:

 

8th grade: Date TBA in February  
  David Levithan
 

David Levithan is the author of Boy Meets Boy, Are We There Yet?, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (co-authored with Rachel Cohn), and his latest How We Met, among many others. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist came out as a major motion picture this fall.

  Gordon Korman
 

We are really hoping that Gordan Korman can come to Saint Ann's. We'll keep our fingers crossed! Gordon Korman is the author of Swindle and many many other titles, such as Born to Rock and Son of the Mob.

  Gary Schmidt
 

It's a long shot, but we are hoping that we can have Gary Schmidt come to Saint Ann's. He is the author of The Wednesday Wars and Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy (a Newbery and Prinz honor book).


5th grade: Date TBA  
  Jack D. Ferraiolo

 

It looks like Jack Ferraiolo, author of The Big Splash might come to Saint Ann's! The Big Splash is a hard-boiled detective story written in a Dashiell Hammett-like style. It's a lot of fun.
