Problem of the Week

You and your sister both drink alot of milk. Your dad brought
home a full (transparent plastic) container of milk last night.
Since she has a first period class today and you have a sleep-in,
your sister promised she would use exactly half of the milk
and leave the other half for you.
When you get up, you look in the fridge and take out the container.
You can see the milk level, and your sister has even marked it with a fine-tip marker.
Without opening the container, or using any measuring equiptment,
how can you tell if she was fair?
