Friday, March 13th, Rubén Dávila and his Spanish classes invited all Romance Language students to a festively decorated cafeteria to celebrate Carnival. The only pre-requisite was to wear a mask. The guests were welcomed in French and Spanish, and were given a short explanation of the meaning of Carnival in both languages. After some dance demonstrations around flowering branches surrounded by fruit offerings, everyone participated in a a collective dance: wititi from the highlands of Peru. At the end, quesadillas, crêpes, and chips with salsa were offered to guests and performers.
