LADYBUGS & FIREFLIES
(Kindergarten and 1st grade)
26 Willow Place
153 Pierrepont Street - Farber Building

The students in these two groups participate in a variety of activities, swimming, and indoor and outdoor play.

LADYBUGS: The students entering kindergarten in the fall will spend their day at 26 Willow Place. We have a great outdoor space with climbing equipment, swings, a sandbox, a playhouse and tricycles. The students can also enjoy our sprinkler and spray equipment along with inflateable pools.

In addition to our Saint Ann's faculty, we have a large staff of enthusiastic and caring high school and middle school counselors who help to make the program a joyful and exciting experience for the children.

Mondays through Thursdays, we begin the day with arts and crafts projects such as printmaking, batiking, origami, tie-dying, tempera painting, papier maché, and clay sculpting. The gym activities offered are always exciting. We also enjoy group activities like baking cookies, performing puppet shows, and singing favorite songs. Creative writing happens too, as the children write nature poems, design personal journals.
We swim two or three times a week at St. Francis College. In addition to our backyard facilities, we have a large gym space for indoor play and gym activities.

FIREFLIES: The students entering first grade in the fall will spend their day at The Farber Building. They will basically do the same activities as the Ladybugs, just tailored to their age group. Along with their regular counselors, specialty teachers from the Art program will work with this group from time to time. The Fireflies will be able to use the rooftop playground as well as visiting the Willow Place facility and nearby parks and playgrounds. They will swim three or four times a week at St. Francis College.

On Fridays, we join the rest of Saint Ann's Summer Camp for a field trip or special activity. Summertime for the Ladybugs and the Fireflies is an enriching and happy experience for everyone!
