Saint Ann's School Theater Department presents
a High School Production of

The Conference of the Birds

Based on the poem by Farid Ud-Din Attar
Stage version by Jean-Claude Carriere and Peter Brook

Directed by Laura Barnett
Music by Jonathan Elliott

Performance dates are:
February 28 - March 2 at 7:00pm

A nation of birds is in crisis and, urged by one of their flock, The Hoopoe, they chart a path to find their True King. After journeying through the desert, the birds realize that the King is closer to them – in body and spirit – than they ever imagined. This allegorical tale is based on a 12th century Persian poem. In the 1970's, Peter Brook and his company created it for the stage, performing it throughout Africa, Europe, as well as at La MaMa and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Reservation date: Wednesday, February 22

Begin making reservations on or after 2/22/12. The procedure for making reservations is the same as it has been for other productions. From outside and within the building, dial ext. 708 or send an e-mail to reservations@saintannsny.org. Please leave a brief message or e-mail stating your name, your child's name (if applicable), your phone numbers (work and home), the date you wish to attend the performance, and the number of tickets you want to reserve for each date. Your reservations will be taken in the order in which they are received. You will be contacted only in the event that there is a question or problem with your reservation request. Please be certain to phone or e-mail us at any point with changes or cancellations. Reserved tickets will be available on the evenings of performances beginning at 6:00pm in the Ettl Lobby. When there is a conflicting event in the Lobby, the Undercroft will be used.

Annual Fund 2011 - 2012

Each year, Saint Ann's relies on the generosity of its community to make the magic of the classroom possible. The Annual Fund bridges the yearly gap between tuition revenue and the full cost of educating each student.

Every gift makes a difference in our ability to sustain the educational experience that sets us apart.
