October 26: The Downstairs 4's at the Preschool, their parents, and teachers participated in a parade inspired by the union of the gods Gaia (mother earth) and Uranus (father sky). Two large puppets and a parent on the accordion accompanied the group. The children stopped at trees along the way and read the poems they wrote in class. "The parade was so much fun the sun came up and the rain came down," observed one of the students.
