Members of the Class of 1998 were invited to attend the following colleges:
Honors and AwardsThirty-two percent of the Class of 1998 were National Merit, National Achievement, or National Hispanic Finalists or Commendation Winners. In the 1997 and 1998 Scholastic Awards programs, a Gold Key in writing was received on the national level and five Gold and eight Silver Keys on the regional level. Also on the regional level, five Gold Keys and four Silver Keys were awarded in art. One student was a winner of the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Award and received second prize in the 1997 Princeton University Secondary School Poetry Contest. Another won second prize in the 1997 Princeton University Playwriting Contest. Two Gold Medals were awarded in the highest level of the ACL/NJCL National Latin Exam and one member of the Class received a Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship.
Advanced PlacementNinety Saint Ann's students took a total of 172 Advanced Placement Examinations (88% of the students taking these examinations were in the ninth to eleventh grades.) Scores of three or above (qualified to extremely qualified) were attained on 84% of the exams. 63% of the scores were fours and fives. Fifteen members of the Class of 1998 were recognized by the College Board for having achieved outstanding academic performance: four were named AP Scholars with Distinction, four were named AP Scholars with Honor, and six were named AP Scholars. NB: AP courses, as such, are not offered at Saint Ann's
